One of IGS's strengths is embedded in the diversity and experience in the professionals available for customized training. All training is personalized to each specific client or organization. In addition to the more common requirements, IGS also develops unique and "out of the box" training solutions. All training and workshops start with an initial diagnostic assessment that clearly identifies the requirements, deliverables, and how these objectives will be met. Acceptance is requires from the client before the presentation is delivered.
All training and workshops conclude with a "post training" meeting where assessments are made and potential coaching requirements are identified.
In addition to custom assessments, IGS's staff is certified to administer MBTI, DISC, Emotional Intelligence, and 360 Degree Feedback assessments.
Some unique "out of the box" training programs IGS has developed have been:
Connecting with Your Community:
This training program was designed for a specific retail service provider business. The program connected Leaders with their Managers, Managers with their Staff, and Staff with thier Clients. By transforming the vision and goals through all levels of participation, and presenting the client with service beyond their expectations, the company greatly increased customer loyalty, as well as a willingness to accept a "fair cost" for a more than "fair service". There were instances where serious errors occurred, outside of the company's control, but by using the tools taught during the ongoing training program, managers and employees alike were able to satisfy the client even to the extent of repeating their business with the organization. The training, experience, and attutude in the workplace brought about a post 9-11 increase in revenue of 2.2% for the first year and 5.6% the second year while simultaneously increasing overall employee job satisfaction and morale. This was in an industry where average revenues dropped 15% to 30% during the same period of time.
Internal Communication Workshops for Not-For Profits:
This training program is a combination of Executive One-on-One coaching, Leadership Development coaching, and Organizational Conduct training. Not for Profit (NFP's) organizations come in many shapes and sizes. The majority do not have the financial resources to employ highly paid (and thus experienced/trained) professionals as executive directors and management staff. Many are governed by a Voluntary Board of Directors. In many instances a majority of the "staff" are volunteers also. This training program is directed at re-connecting Boards, Executive Directors, their Managers, and their Staff with the key focus and purpose of the NFP. By stressing the importance of internal communications in a difficult environment, and focusing on the importance and time savings afforded through good processes and procedure, the combination of coaching and training reconnects everyone with their mission. This results in a renewed passion for the purpose, enabling the entire organization to better connection with their clients.
Youth Goal Setting Workshops:
Most schools today are focused on the basics requirements to meet established standards set by a School District, State, or the Federal Department of Education. With this, little time or resources are available to help our youth bridge the "gap of expectation" when transitioning from K-12 education to the adult learning environment of the business world.
How many of our future adults have had the opportunity to identify and define their core values, establish personal and professional goals, identify objectives, and establish expectations of themselves?
IGS believes this is training and experience our youth should be exposed to in their formative teen years, the earlier the better. The more opportunity they experience to discover what they want during their lifetime, at an earlier age, will help them resist some of the devastating effects they face growing up in our society.
IGS has developed a program that highlights a personal story of a young women who had goals and objectives, but had to dramatically change her goals due to an unforeseeable medical diagnosis. Her original goals did not differ much from those sought by today's youth..... fortune, fame, honors, championship rings & medals, her picture on a cereal box, and the feature story of a world-wide magazine......the difference is, is that she had actually achieved these goals before being diagnosed with a debilitating chronic disease at the age of 16. In this workshop she takes the students through the process of setting goals that align with their core values. She then prepares the student to adjust their goals when unforeseen circumstances come into play. Her story connects with young adults and equips them with the tools to plan for the future, but most importantly to adapt to change.
This IGS workshop focus's on the importance of being confident enough to:
- Identify their Core Values
- Establish Goals
- Identify Objectives
- Determine a Plan
- Adapt to Change
Participants are coached through the process of discovering their core values and then translating them into goals. They are then assisted through a step-by-step process that gives them the opportunity to either establish or get back on track to achieve their goals in life.
